About the Owner
Mario N. Ciccone, P.E.
Mario is a licensed engineer with over 15 years of experience in all facets of construction and has completed residential construction and engineering projects on his own since 2017.
After graduating from The Pennsylvania State University in December of 2010 with a Bachelor’s in Agricultural & Biological Engineering, Mario served as a math teacher in Prishtina, Kosovo and worked as a residential remodeler in the Greater Pittsburgh area before moving into an Environmental Engineering role in Memphis, TN. There he designed, built, and maintained groundwater treatment systems.
He then moved into a geotechnical role where he worked on the foundations of dams, bridges, and roadways all across the eastern USA since 2014. During this time, Mario built out the framework for his own business.
Mario's goal is to bring multi-million-dollar design and management strategies to the residential market. Too many residential projects are mired in confusion with the owner not being able to have an intelligible understanding of the design, schedule, or even the final cost. The strategies used at the higher level provide the owner with the clarity they need to make informed decisions, even if they are not an expert. There is no reason this cannot be done at the residential level.

What is Design Build?
Design build means the people responsible for building are also the people responsible for designing the project. Many residential projects are design build. You give the general contractor some basic ideas and then they run with it. The benefits are a streamlined process that cut down on costs and time.
One of the major problems is a lack of accountability. Many times, the entire project is stored in one person's head until the project is complete. Cubit Design Build looks to take that information and visualize it so the owner can be a part of the process from beginning to end. Ultimately, this transparency provides better quality and lower costs.
